See if you can check in online

The easiest way of minimising the amount of time you’ll have to spend at an airport is to check in before you even arrive. This lets you evade those long lines at the check in desk. You’ll also be able to use the bag-drop if you choose this option, which is far faster. Most of the major airlines now allow you to check in online, so visit the website before you head off to check.

Less is more

Taking fewer bags means you’ll be far less stressed. For starters, making the trip to the airport with a lot of baggage can be stressful. Not only will your journey to the airport begin with a train or taxi ride but it will also include some walking.The less you have the easier it will be to get around.

Fly with hand baggage

One of the other ways of saving a great deal of time at the airport is by just taking hand luggage. If you do this and check in online, you’ll get through the airport in half the time it would conventionally have taken. Instead of spending three hours at the airport, you can usually cut the time down to 1 1/2h if you check in online and just take hand luggage.

Opt for a lounge pass

If you thought business lounges were only for first class passengers, you’d be wrong. Find the best lounge option by searching through Google for the airport you’re going to plus the word ‘lounge’. A two hour pass can cost as little as $20.
