Get Under Your Double Duvet Cover For Leisurely Festive Days
I love spending cold Christmas days wrapped up on the sofa in my double duvet cover watching holiday films. Nothing beats sitting down to a chick-flick marathon with a warm mince pie and glass if mulled wine. These kinds of days are just so relaxing. And they feel extra good if you have been enjoying the snow in the morning. You can sit in front of a fire with the excuse of getting warmer, then stay there for the rest of the day! The following article is my three top tips for relaxing on a winter’s day.
Movie Day
From the intro to this article you have probably guessed that my favourite cold-day activity is snuggling up in my double duvet cover with snacks and holiday movies. I have my favourite films including any brit-flicks and romantic comedies. These days are best if they are totally interrupted, only getting up to go to the toiler at fill up on more snacks. Before you begin your first film of the day, make sure you have everything you need in touching distance because you will not want to move! But do make sure you get up in time to make it to the toilet when you need a wee!
Cooking And Baking
If I have a bit of energy then I love to do some baking and cooking in the kitchen. When it is cold outside and you are making warm goodies, there is a small delight in the windows steaming up and closing you off from the outside world. Some of my favourite Christmas cuisine includes festive cookies because they are so fun to decorate. Other festive recipes include pies, cakes and soups. Not only is cooking a form of stress relief which is nice during the busy holiday season but it is also very fun, and you get to enjoy what you make!
Playing In The Snow
Something a little less relaxing but just as fun is having the traditional snow fight, making snow people and skidding around in the white powder. We are all big kids inside and enjoy a good play out every now and then. Whether you have children or not, you can get out into nature and enjoy the winter.
