The City Of Athens – A City Loaded With Historical Significance And Dynamic Night Life

So much has seen its start in Athens: theatre, philosophy, democracy, classical art, and the Olympics. Located on the coast of southern Greece, this ancient city has been populated for over 7000 years. Mingled with the ancient monuments are trendy boutiques, quaint cafes, and cultural attractions. Providing a mix of ancient heritage and modern day influences, there is truly no place like Athens. Getting to Athens requires a passport, however, but this has recently become much more convenient by going online. Whether you need to apply for a new passport or just get USA passport pages, these sites handle all of this for you.

World travel requires a passport but computers have simplified all passport needs. Even if you have to get an emergency passport, an online passport is available to help you. No one plans to have their travel documents lost or stolen but if this happens, help is as close as the nearest computer.

Athens is a city that contains many sites that make history come alive so this is certainly the ideal place for lovers of history to visit. High on top of the Acropolis you will find the Parthenon. This famous sight has earned the honor of being named as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Investigating these ruins takes you back to sights names in Greek Mythology related to gods and goddesses, the titans and many other mythological characters. Admission to this site also opens the Theatre of Dionysus, the Roman Agora and the Temple of Olympian Zeus to the traveler.

Arts and culture are huge in Athens; after all, this is where drama originated. There are larger, more popular places to see, like the National Gallery, but dotted around the city are smaller galleries where you can experience even more Classical art. 148 theatres exist in Athens, meaning if you are looking to see a performance, you needn’t go far. Among these is the ancient Herodes Atticus Theatre.

Using a bike or even walking around this city is a wonderful way to see the sights. Green space is always welcome when you travel to big cities and the National Garden of Athens provides an exceptional treat. Within it can be found a small zoo, ponds with ducks, colorful flowers and beautiful landscape with no shortage of a shady tree to relax under and consider the sights of the day.

For those who would like to shop till your drop, your experience will be a little different in Athens. Rather than large malls and strip centers, you will find street vendors selling custom crafts rather than name brand items. Some of the most visited markets are found on Plaka, Kolonaki and Ermou Street. You will find endless selections of shoes, purses and jewelry if you visit here and the quality will certainly not disappoint you.

Be sure you don’t leave Athens without tasting their traditional dish, souvlaki. This consists of grilled meat, vegetables and their unique yogurt sauce. This is a staple for the local residents and you will be sure to enjoy the unique taste.

A vacation planned in a foreign place can enrich you and your family in so many ways and Athens would certainly make a great choice. International travel always requires a passport so don’t be caught without one. All your passport needs, whether to add US passport pages or an emergency American passport replacement, can be met securely at an online passport site.

Prepare For A Memorable London Vacation

London is seriously unlike any other city I had ever been to before. Some of my fondest memories came from my week trip to London, and the trouble of having to add extra US passport pages, getting special electrical plugs and exchanging currency seemed so small once I arrived. London is unmatched in its unique quality, and getting to experience that first hand was life changing.

Some get discouraged from traveling due to all the processes involved. While I was getting additional passport pages, my mom was telling me how she disliked traveling because of all the planning that’s involved. However, once you spend a while exploring and experiencing, the stress becomes irrelevant. Trust me.

If you love art, London is the place for you. Walking through London is like walking through a real life museum. The monuments, the huge buildings, and the atmosphere create such an immersing environment. Even the street art is beautiful. I spent a whole day walking around the Victoria and Albert Museum, or just the V and A Museum. Huge rooms packed with artifacts from every civilization were everywhere, and that was only one wing of the museum. Standing beside a huge, ancient artifact left me feeling so small and insignificant in the scheme of things, and it was such a cool learning experience. Huge halls filled with everything from fashion exhibits to fine art wove through the Museum, and I left feeling like I had walked though ten different museums.

I then got to explore the Tate Modern Museum, which was a pretty sharp contrast to the Victoria and Albert Museum. I generally wasn’t very impressed by my earlier experiences with modern art, but the Tate changed that. Just walking into the huge building was a pretty neat experience. I spent hours and hours both looking at and interacting with the art, some of which held very powerful messages. I left feeling pretty empowered.

The peak experience of my trip was getting to experience Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. As an English major, I hold an engrossing love for William Shakespeare and his plays, and getting to see them performed at their home was a truly humbling experience. I decided that the “groundling” experience was the way to go, being a little short on money. I had hit the gift shop, and had let loose a little too much. How could I resist the “Montague & Capulet” tote bag? I couldn’t. The play was incredible, and although my feet ached a little, it was easily disregarded when getting to stand at the edge of the stage. The atmosphere was so unique, and there was a vast difference from the theatre experiences I had previously been acquainted with.

If there is somewhere you’ve always wanted to go, whether it’s London, Paris, or Tokyo, just go. Something is calling you there, and probably for good reason. So get yourself a new passport or add USA passport pages, pack your bags, and be ready for the trip of a lifetime.

The London Experience: Abundant Architecture, Marvelous Museums, And Stunning Shakespeare

While I was getting additional passport pages, my mom was telling me how she disliked traveling because of all the planning that’s involved. However, once you spend a while exploring and experiencing, the stress becomes irrelevant. Trust me.

London is the place to go if you love art in all its forms. Even the street art was beautiful. The huge stone buildings, the tall shining statues, and the abundance of music made going to London a completely consuming experience. Even just walking down the streets of London is like walking through a living, breathing museum. I spent a day at the Victoria and Albert Museum, or just the A and V Museum. Historical artifacts that span hundred or even thousands of years all sat in a huge room, and I had to walk around multiple times to make sure I saw it all. Exhibits of all kinds – from fashion to ancient, crumbling artifacts – were on display, and I left feeling pretty insignificant in comparison.

The best part of my trip was getting to go to Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre. William Shakespeare and all his works are the object of my undying love, and getting the opportunity to see plays at their birthplace was unbelievable. I chose to see the play as a “groundling,” and although my feet hurt a little by the end, getting to stand at the edge of the stage was amazing. I felt like I was in the play, and I’ll admit, I got so wrapped up that I cried at the end of Othello.

Please don’t let the preparation required for traveling stop you from experiencing your dream vacation. Whether you need a new US passport or to add pasport pages, need to hire a dog-sitter, or just book a plane ticket, make some solid plans and get yourself there. You aren’t being called to go there for no reason, so don’t ignore it. Pack your bags and grab your friends or family, and get ready to have an amazing vacation.

Read Here If You Need to Add American Passport Pages to Your Passport

There are two instances where you can request additional pages for your passport. The first one is if you only have two to four pages left in your passport. The other is when you travel regularly and thus need more passport pages than normal. If you fall under either of these situations, then it’s natural that you’ll want to find out how to add passport pages to your US passport. We’ll talk about it in detail in the succeeding paragraphs.

Let’s discuss the first category first. If you are a passport holder, and your passport has less than two to four pages in it, you’ll need to request additional passport pages. But why request pages so soon? That’s because it will save you a lot of time when you do that now, rather than when you are already about to travel.

There are two requirements when requesting for passport pages in this situation. First, you need to fulfill Form DS-4085. This is the form you fill in every time you need to request for additional passport pages. Once you are done filling in the details, you can then mail the DS-4085 to the address indicated in the form, along with your current US passport.

When applying for additional passport pages, you are not required to pay anything to have it processed. However, you will have to pay an additional fee should you decide to have your application expedited. When getting an expedited passport, make sure you write ‘EXPEDITED’ on the envelope before mailing it. Having it expedited cuts your waiting time from four to six weeks to just two to three weeks.

Now let’s talk about frequent travelers. If you are a frequent traveler, then chances are you use up your passport pages faster than most people. When applying for passport pages, you’ll need to go through a different procedure.

You need to follow a different procedure in this case.  If you are a frequent traveler, you need to send a signed letter requesting additional passport pages. Aside from that, you will also have to mail the completed DS-82 form along with your letter. This form will allow you to apply for a passport by mail.  However, in case you are not eligible for applications by mail, you can instead fill in the Form DS-11, and then personally submit this with your letter at the passport office.

When sending your passport application by mail, it is recommended that you send it using a delivery method that can be traced. All modern courier services offer this type of service already. Also remember to place your documents in a tough envelope to prevent it from getting damaged easily when mailed.

It can’t be easier to request for additional passport pages. First of all, you would need to determine under which of the two categories you fall. Be aware that there are different procedures you need to follow if you are an applicant with less than two to four American passport pages left, as well as when you are a frequent traveler. Now you know how to add passport pages to your US passport.
